INTER 110 - Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

7.50 credit hours

Basic and medical aspects of antibiotics, microbial genetics, bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology are taught in lectures and by use of clinical case correlations, small group discussions, and computer assisted instruction. Student evaluations are based on several written examinations, presentation of laboratory findings, participation in small group sessions that address both basic information and clinical cases, a comprehensive oral examination, and a comprehensive final examination prepared by the National Board of Medical examiners.
